Students choose Mann because of its high academic standards and their interest in the Arts or Science program. There are many opportunities that enhance these areas of study. The Arts and Science program at Mann promotes an appreciation of individual interests and abilities and creates an atmosphere where students become motivated learners. In addition to the Arts and Science program, Mann Magnet has a state of the art Verizon Innovative Learning Lab. The Verizon Innovative Learning Lab gives students and teachers access to emerging technology such as Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Coding, 3D Printing & Artificial Intelligence (AI).

YOUTH CONFERENCE PRESENTERS

Judge LaTonya Austin Honorable

With a broad range of legal experience, passion and great determination, LaTonya Austin Honorable is uniquely qualified and suited for the seat of Pulaski County District Court Judge. Beginning her legal career by writing appellate briefs for the criminal division of the Arkansas Attorney General's office under Mark Pryor, LaTonya learned a lot of the do's and dont's of criminal trial practice. She then began serving the citizens of Pulaski County by prosecuting criminal cases under Larry Jegley until she began defending the same types of cases in Pulaski County as a Public Defender and then as a private attorney for The Austin Law Firm, PLLC.


In private practice, LaTonya – with the assistance of her mother and Office Manager Fran Kelley –focuses heavily on Domestic Relations, which often has a criminal component including domestic battery, assault, terroristic threatening, criminal mischief, violation of orders of protection, etc., and represents many clients involved in these types of cases.


LaTonya has practiced criminal law in State (District and Circuit) and Federal Courts all across Arkansas. She has sat and continues to have the opportunity to sit as a Special Judge in multiple District Courts in Pulaski County over the past 8 years.


LaTonya Austin Honorable is a wife to her husband Lee Honorable, and is a mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She is an active member of the St. Luke Baptist Church in North Little Rock, as well as the Pulaski County Bar Association, Volunteer Organization of Center for Arkansas Legal Services (VOCALS), eStem Community Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Board Member of the Arkansas Learning Alliance, Inc., Positive People Promotions, Inc., and other community organizations.



LaTonya is an Honor graduate of Little Rock Central High School and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She attended and graduated from the UALR Bowen School of Law as a Bowen Scholar.

Phillip Myton

We will work together to develop healthy coping skills, self-esteem, and identify internal and external conflicts. These skills will develop awareness and build confidence and allow you to be the best version of yourself.

Jacqueline Wright

Jacqueline Wright graduated from Hendrix College in 2000. While at Hendrix, Jacqueline was President of Students for Black Culture and the Pre-Law Society.  Her interest in law led her to the William H. Bowen School of Law. As a Bowen Scholar, she received a full-tuition scholarship. After graduating as an Honor Marshall in her law school class, Jacqueline successfully passed the Arkansas bar in 2003.


Jackie Wright is currently a Capital and Conflicts Attorney at the Arkansas Public Defender Commission. Her current position as a Capital and Conflicts Attorney affords her the opportunity to defend indigent clients in Arkansas who are charged with capital murder when the State is seeking the death penalty. Prior to being in her current role, Jackie worked as a public defender in the 6th judicial district and clerked for Judge Wendell Griffin on the Arkansas Court of Appeals.  Jackie Wright has worked as an adjunct professor at Philander Smith College, Central Baptist College, Hendrix College, and the William H. Bowen School of Law. She also serves on the board of several non-profit organizations throughout Central Arkansas.

Mia Foreman

Mia is a remarkable real estate broker who is adding significant value with her client-centric approach and commitment to empowering individuals on their journey towards homeownership. With an impressive background as a former teacher, foster parent, and landlord, Mia brings a unique perspective and a passion for helping others navigate the real estate market. Known for her kindness, compassion, and exceptional service, Mia has earned a reputation as a trusted advocate, ensuring that each client's needs are met with precision and care.

Kim Williams

As a twenty-year educator, Kim Williams is a true advocate for all children in Little Rock. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2004, where he is certified to teach grades 4th -8th in all core subjects. Ironically, his very first job was a 5th grade teacher in the very school that he attended kindergarten, Woodruff Elementary. Over the course of the next few years, he would teach 5th grade students at Woodruff and Bale Elementary, with a brief stint as a 6th grade science teacher at Cloverdale Middle School in between. He completed his Masters of School Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2011 and one year later he would land the job he currently fills to this day as Lead Counselor at his alma mater, Little Rock Central High.


He is a member of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), the National Association of Collegiate Admission Counselors (NACAC) and the Southern Association of Collegiate Admission Counselors (SACAC). In addition to his professional organizations he has received the following accolades:

2017-2018 Arkansas Army National Guard Counselor of the Year for the State of Arkansas
2018 Little Rock School District Teacher of the Year Honoree for Central High

Master Ricky Gaston

Gaston’s Martial Arts (GMA) is an independent owned Martial Arts Schools operated by Ricky L. Gaston Jr. known as Senior Master Gaston to students in the Martial Art community. Senior Master Gaston is a 7th degree black belt and has been teaching and training in the art of Taekwondo for 30 years. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Administration and has served the Little Rock community as a Certified Taekwondo Instructor since the age of sixteen..
