JAMES O. WILLIAMS

Founder of the Caddy Academy

James O. Williams, founder of the Caddy Academy, is a recreational golfer that plays on average 70 rounds of golf a year. He is known for creating opportunities to fellowship and grow the game. He was inspired to work with youth through Mr. Harold Banks, an avid golfer in central Arkansas.

 James is certified as a level II coach at First Tee of Central Arkansas and a US Kids golf instructor. He completed positive coaching alliance and is a PGA – American model coach.


In 2019, he was successful in creating a golf team at Horace Mann Magnet Middle School in Little Rock, AR. Golfers gained fundamental skills and competed in matches. A major accomplishment is when he was able to introduce a middle school golfer to a high school coach, and this defined the need for a middle school program.

The Caddy Academy was established to grow the game of golf, serve as a positive link to the community, encourage positive competition, and mentor youth.
